Terms of Use
Effective October 12, 2026
Clear expectations for exploring care and using BetterYears.
These Terms govern the website and online services operated by BetterYears.com, LLC (“BetterYears,” “we,” “us”). By using them, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. What BetterYears does
BetterYears helps adults explore senior living and home care, compare available information, and request help with next steps. We are an information and connection service. We do not operate the communities or agencies listed, employ their caregivers, provide medical treatment, or make admission decisions. Our guidance is not a clinical assessment, care plan, or legal, financial, insurance, or tax advice.
The service is intended for adults aged 18 and older. If you act for someone else, you must have permission or other lawful authority to provide their information and make the relevant request. Use your own contact details unless you are authorized to use another person’s.
BetterYears is not an emergency service. For an immediate threat to health or safety, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.
2. Free exploration and guidance
Browsing listings, viewing matches, requesting a quote or tour, and requesting a conversation with John are free to the visitor. You do not have to request a call or provide contact details to view care options. Communities and agencies set their own charges for care, housing, and related services; those services are not free.
The current website does not charge a visitor subscription or process payment for care. Any future paid BetterYears service will identify its price and applicable terms before you agree. A listing or featured position does not, by itself, establish a paid relationship or endorsement.
3. Listings, photographs, and accuracy
Our directory brings together business information, provider materials, public records, and licensed data. Information can change, including ownership, licensing, staffing, services, prices, availability, and contact details. A listing is not proof that a provider is licensed, currently operating, accepting new residents, or appropriate for a particular person.
Photographs on an individual listing illustrate the location or provider described by their caption or alternative text. General care and lifestyle images elsewhere on the site may be illustrative and do not depict a particular community. Photos cannot establish the present condition of a property or the care available.
Before choosing a provider, confirm current licensing, care capabilities, staffing, costs, payment arrangements, accessibility, and availability directly. Review the agreement and, where practical, visit the location. Use “Report an issue” on a listing to request a correction.
4. Matches and featured options
Search and guided matching use your selected location, care type, budget, and priorities to organize our directory. Where exact matches are limited, we may show nearby or broader alternatives and explain the expansion. A result may have unknown pricing or incomplete feature information; appearing in results does not mean it meets every preference.
Featured collections are a selection, not a quality ranking, inspection, or list of every available provider. Recommendations do not guarantee safety, quality, affordability, benefit eligibility, or suitability. You remain free to consider providers outside the results.
5. Prices and estimates
Published amounts are starting prices or other recorded pricing information, not binding offers or personalized quotes. Care level, room type, occupancy, deposits, move-in charges, services, and changes in need can affect the total. Confirm the billing period and all included and additional charges directly with the provider.
Where a planning calculation is offered, its result depends on the values entered and is not a prediction or guarantee. Missing costs are unknown, not zero. BetterYears does not determine eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, veterans benefits, insurance, or financial assistance.
6. Quote, tour, and callback requests
Submitting a form sends your request to BetterYears. A saved quote request is not a provider’s price commitment. A saved tour request is not a confirmed appointment, reservation, or guarantee of availability. Wait for confirmation before making travel or care arrangements.
When you agree to be called about a request, BetterYears may use the number you supply to follow up on that request. The optional “Yes, call me” choice records a separate request for a free call from John. Choosing no does not cancel your quote or tour request or restrict access to results. No particular response time is guaranteed.
Permission for a request-related call is not blanket permission for unrelated marketing, automated promotional calls, texts, or distribution to an unrestricted list of providers. You can withdraw permission by telling us during a call or using the contact email below. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Provider agreements and external services
Any agreement for housing, care, employment, payments, deposits, cancellation, or refunds is between you and the relevant provider. Providers are responsible for their services and personnel. BetterYears does not sign or enforce those agreements on your behalf.
External websites, telephone services, and sign-in providers have their own terms and privacy practices. Following a provider link or calling a provider’s number connects you with that organization. It does not automatically send a BetterYears form or book a service.
8. Provider listings, claims, and corrections
Only an authorized representative may claim a listing on behalf of a provider. A claim is a request for review, not an immediate transfer of control or certification. We may request information reasonably needed to verify authority and the proposed changes, and may decline unsupported, misleading, or unlawful submissions.
Providers and representatives must submit accurate information, maintain required licenses and permissions, and promptly report material changes. Do not misrepresent prices, availability, services, credentials, images, or relationships. Do not upload residents’ medical details, private contact information, or identifiable photographs without the necessary permission.
Provider submissions must respect consumer choice and applicable advertising, privacy, accessibility, and nondiscrimination requirements. Information received for a specific care inquiry must not be repurposed for unrelated marketing without the necessary permission. These website terms do not establish a referral, advertising, or commercial agreement; any such arrangement requires separate terms.
We may edit, correct, restrict, or remove a listing or submission to maintain accuracy and lawful operation. We do not promise publication or removal merely because a request was submitted. A business cannot use a listing claim to suppress accurate public information.
9. Accounts and responsible use
Use only accounts you are authorized to access and protect your sign-in credentials. Do not impersonate another person, submit false requests, harass users or providers, introduce malicious code, bypass access restrictions, interfere with the service, or collect personal information for unsolicited outreach. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect others, or comply with law. You may stop using the service at any time. Restrictions do not remove privacy or consumer rights you have under applicable law.
10. Content and intellectual property
You may access the site and use its information for personal care research and lawful communication. BetterYears’ original text, design, software, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and materials remain the property of their respective owners. We do not claim exclusive ownership of public facts.
If you submit listing information or other material, you retain your ownership and grant BetterYears a nonexclusive permission to store, review, format, reproduce, and publish it as needed to operate and maintain the directory. This permission does not authorize publication of private request-form details. You must have the rights needed for your submission. Required third-party notices remain applicable, including licensed-data attribution.
For an intellectual-property concern, contact us with the affected URL, a description of the work and your rights, your contact details, and an explanation of the requested action. We may seek additional information before acting.
11. Service limitations and your rights
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, BetterYears does not give implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement, or promise uninterrupted, error-free, or fully current information. We are not responsible for a provider’s independent decisions or conduct.
To the extent permitted by law, BetterYears is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service. These limitations do not exclude responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Applicable law may give you protections beyond these Terms.
These Terms do not require mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights. If a concern arises, we encourage you to contact us first, but this does not prevent you from seeking a remedy available under applicable law. No provision requires a consumer to give up mandatory protections in their home jurisdiction.
12. Changes and general provisions
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated through the site or another appropriate channel. Changes do not retroactively remove rights relating to prior events. Additional terms for a particular feature will be presented before they apply.
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with any separately accepted feature agreement, describe the agreement for using the site.
