Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
Your care preferences deserve thoughtful handling.
This notice explains how BetterYears.com, LLC handles care-related information that may qualify as consumer health data under applicable law. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to covered processing, including where Washington or another state gives you consumer-health privacy rights.
Information and sources
Information you supply may include a care category such as memory care or skilled nursing, assistance needs, selected priorities, location used to find care, and notes about yourself or someone you are authorized to assist. These choices may suggest health conditions, disability, or a need for health-related services. When submitted with a request, they can be associated with your name and phone number. Technical URLs and request records may also contain care selections. We obtain this information from you and from the operation of the website; we do not request medical records from healthcare providers.
Why we process it
We use this information to show the care options you request, record a quote or tour inquiry, and provide the optional guidance or callback you choose. We process data as necessary to provide a requested service or with consent when required by law. We do not use care preferences for targeted advertising, medical diagnosis, insurance eligibility decisions, or geofencing healthcare facilities.
Access and sharing
Authorized BetterYears personnel and hosting, database, authentication, and security service providers may process information for these purposes. Our current infrastructure includes Cloudflare and hosted ChatGPT sign-in. This website does not automatically forward requests to communities, agencies, or other referral services. Any additional provider disclosure requires an explanation and permission when required. We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share it with affiliates for their own marketing.
Disclosures required by law or needed to protect legal rights are limited by applicable law. Any business transfer remains subject to applicable health-data restrictions and required notice or permission.
Your choices
Where applicable, you can ask whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data; access that data and the legally required recipient information; withdraw consent; and request deletion. Contact [email protected] and ask for a consumer health privacy request. We may verify your identity or your representative’s authority and will handle the request within the deadlines required by applicable law. Where required, deletion requests will also be communicated to relevant processors and recipients.
You may appeal a denial by contacting the same email address and asking for a privacy appeal. We will explain the result and available complaint options, including the relevant state attorney general, as required. Withdrawing permission may prevent completion of an optional callback or other requested assistance, but you can continue browsing care options.
Retention and changes
Submitted requests are retained for follow-up, permission records, legal obligations, and dispute handling; the application has no automatic deletion schedule. You may request deletion as described above. We will update this notice when practices materially change and obtain any additional legally required consent.
